About the Role:

Compensation is $125,000-$135,000.

We have an immediate need for a well-organized individual to join our team as an Accounting Manager. This role owns the monthly close for various properties, ensures accurate reporting, leads debt compliance and lender deliverables, and drives process excellence, controls, and automation across the property accounting function.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review general ledger accounts using Blackline, and review journal entries and adjustments, where applicable. 
  • Maintain a robust internal control environment; remediate gaps and manage testing.
  • Analyze financial data and trends to provide insights into strategic planning.
  • Own the monthly close calendar for assigned properties: accruals, allocations, intercompany, and eliminations; ensure timeliness and accuracy. 
  • Ensure accurate fixed asset capitalization, project cost tracking, and depreciation; partner with onsite teams on project closeouts and useful lives.
  • Ability to work in a fast paced, innovative environment with the ability to constantly make improvements. 
  • Support system implementations and maintain accounting policies and procedures. 
  • Must be technologically savvy and skilled in using AI.
  • Demonstrate a strong sense of ownership.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • CPA or CMA certification ideal, but not required.
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of accounting experience, preferably in residential real estate.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Yardi, Blackline, SAP Concur) and Microsoft Applications (e.g., Excel, Word, Power Point).
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
