Job Description

CAMS is part of the Associa family.

CAMS (Community Association Management Services), one of the fastest-growing HOA management companies in the southeastern US, was founded on the simple idea that people come first, and this idea is at the core of everything we do. We have been in business since 1991 and pride ourselves on being an innovative, flexible company that works together as a team to achieve our goals.

Title: Accounts Payable & Accounting Transformation Lead (Software Transition)

Role Summary:
CAMS is seeking a Program/Transformation Lead with deep accounting expertise to spearhead our software transition in Accounts Payable (AP) and broader accounting processes. This role will drive process redesign, cross-functional coordination, and change management to ensure a smooth migration while maintaining strong financial controls and service quality.

Key Responsibilities:

· Lead AP/Accounting Workstream: Own the planning and execution of all AP and accounting-related transition activities as part of the “Simplify CAMS” software program.

· Process Design & Continuity: Map current AP and general ledger workflows, identify improvements, and redesign processes in new platforms to preserve or enhance efficiency, compliance, and audit controls.

· Cross-Functional Coordination: Collaborate with Finance, IT, Operations, and vendor teams to align system configurations with accounting requirements (invoice approvals, payment processing, reconciliation, reporting).

· Change Leadership & Training: Develop and deliver training and support for AP and accounting staff. Champion adoption of new processes and system features, addressing concerns and ensuring users embrace the change.

· Performance & Risk Management: Monitor project milestones for the AP/accounting domain, proactively identify risks or gaps (e.g., in financial reporting, internal controls, vendor payments), and implement mitigation plans. Provide regular updates to senior leadership on progress, issues, and outcomes.
