Job Description

Tidewater Physicians Multispecialty  Group (TPMG) is actively seeking a motivated part-time Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner  to join their General Surgery and Hernia Center office in Newport News. TPMG includes more than 220 primary care, specialty physicians and advanced practice clinicians in more than 75 locations throughout southeastern Virginia.    The schedule is full-time work hours, Monday through Friday, day shifts.  The ideal candidate would have at least one year’s surgical experience and be able to provide direct patient care services to include but not limited to; providing medical services to patients, perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, order lab studies and be familiar with surgical clearances and wound care.

Newport News is located in close proximity to historical Williamsburg, and a short distance to bustling Virginia Beach or the beaches of Outer Banks, North Carolina.  Enjoy water sports on the James River, kayaking or camping in nearby parks, golfing at some of the best clubs or cycling through scenic trails.
