Acquisition Manager – Kelley Blue Book Instant Cash Offer Program
 
We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Acquisition Manager to lead and optimize our vehicle acquisition efforts through the Kelley Blue Book Instant Cash Offer (ICO) Program.
 
The primary focus of this role is to generate a consistent flow of vehicle acquisition opportunities that bring customers into our seven dealership locations to sell or trade their vehicles and ultimately purchase from our inventory. This position is responsible for lead management, customer outreach, appointment setting, acquisition performance, and maximizing conversion opportunities from every customer interaction.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

Vehicle Acquisition Management

  • Manage all incoming leads generated through the Kelley Blue Book Instant Cash Offer Program.
  • Respond quickly to customer inquiries via phone, text, email, and CRM.
  • Qualify vehicle sellers and trade-in prospects.
  • Schedule vehicle appraisal appointments at the appropriate dealership location.
  • Deliver an exceptional customer experience throughout the acquisition process.

 

Traffic & Sales Generation

  • Drive qualified customers into our seven dealership locations.
  • Convert vehicle sellers into vehicle buyers whenever possible.
  • Collaborate with sales management teams to maximize retail sales opportunities.
  • Generate additional showroom traffic through vehicle acquisition campaigns.

 

Lead Management & Follow-Up

  • Maintain aggressive and consistent follow-up processes.
  • Manage customer communications from lead receipt through transaction completion.
  • Ensure all prospects are accurately tracked within the CRM.
  • Re-engage unsold and unacquired prospects to increase conversion rates.

 

Performance Monitoring

  • Track lead volume, appointments set, show rates, acquisitions, and sales conversions.
  • Monitor program effectiveness and identify opportunities for performance improvement.
  • Prepare regular reports detailing acquisition and conversion metrics.
  • Recommend process improvements to increase appointment and acquisition success.

 

Cross-Department Collaboration

  • Work closely with Sales Managers, Used Vehicle Managers, General Managers, and Marketing teams.
  • Support inventory acquisition goals across all seven rooftops.
  • Coordinate appraisal and purchasing efforts to ensure timely execution.

 

Qualifications

 

Required

  • Automotive dealership experience preferred.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • Experience handling internet leads and appointment setting.
  • Proficiency with CRM systems and digital communication tools.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Self-motivated with a strong focus on results and accountability.

 

Preferred

  • Experience working with Kelley Blue Book Instant Cash Offer leads.
  • Understanding of vehicle appraisal and acquisition processes.
  • Experience in BDC, sales, internet sales, or used vehicle acquisition roles.
