Activity Assistant / Medical Records – Dual Position
Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Activity Assistant / Medical Records professional to join our team at Onyx Care of Farmerville. As a dual-position role, you will be responsible for supporting our patients' recreational and therapeutic activities, while also ensuring the accuracy and organization of our medical records. Responsibilities:
Activity Assistant:
Plan, organize, and implement recreational and therapeutic activities for patients, tailored to their individual needs and abilities
Collaborate with the therapy team to develop activity plans that promote patient engagement and rehabilitation
Monitor patient participation and progress, making adjustments as needed to ensure optimal outcomes
Medical Records:
Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records for all patients, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements
Organize and file medical records, both physical and electronic, in a timely and efficient manner
Assist with data entry and reporting as needed
Schedule:
Activity Assistant: 3 days per week
Medical Records: 2 days per week
Shift Hours: 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent required
Previous experience in a healthcare setting, preferably in activity or medical records administration
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail and strong organizational skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals
Familiarity with electronic medical records systems and ability to learn new technology quickly
