Job purpose
The Administrative Assistant supports the Materials, Logistics, & Production Manager in organizing a wide variety of tasks such as shipping/receiving, quality assurance, and clerical work. The Administrative Assistant will ensure the smooth flow of production through organization and attention to detail allowing for optimal productivity.
Essential Duties and responsibilities
- Ensure that work areas are safe, clean, organized & free from hazards (refer to manuals)
- Maintain all appropriate production records, quality records, reports & audits
- Maintain inventory of shipping materials as well as supplies
- Assist in maintaining the ISO system (Calibrations, Audits, and Document Control)
- Serve as an integral member of the continuous improvement team
- Familiar with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Access)
- Other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications
- HS Diploma / GED
- 2 year degree preferred
- Experience in related field preferred
Physical Demands and Work Environment
- May be exposed to loud noises, dirt, dust & fumes; working around moving equipment will be encountered
- Generally working in Office with some activities in production environment.
- Repetitive motion
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds – lifting devices are available
