    BUILDING ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT
     

    Salary:                    Hourly rate Commensurate with experience
     

    Qualifications:       High School Diploma, basic secretarial, clerical and computer skills, experience working in a school setting
                                                                                                          
    Reports to:             Building Administrators

    Evaluation:             As determined by the District

    Work Calendar:      Full Time, 200 work days
     
    Position Goal:      To enhance the educational process by effectively and confidentially performing the smooth and efficient operation of the school office so that the maximum impact is positive with                                          students, staff, and parent. The Administrative Assistant shall be responsible for the following duties and perform other duties as assigned by the administration
     

    Rate of Pay/Benefits:        Salary range $. The position includes medical, dental, vision, and life insurance benefits.
     

    Superintendent/Board:
     
    Observe and adhere to all Board of Education policies and regulations, and all administrative rules and procedures
     
    Building:
     
    Perform the usual office routines and practices associated with an office
    Receive and direct all incoming calls
    Maintain a daily teacher attendance log
    Prepare purchase orders, maintain copies and monitor the receipt of supplies and materials
    Perform any bookkeeping/clerical tasks associated with the specific position
    Maintain a regular filing system
    Process incoming school correspondence and respond as directed
    Maintain student records as shall be required
    Complete the removal of a child from the building by the parent or guardian
    Complete the necessary information to register and transfer a student
    Maintain the �opening' and �closing' of school materials
    Handle the correspondence of the building Principal
    Assist the Principal and Director of Transportation to schedule stops and assign bus
    Routes to students, works with Bus Company to prepare emergency bus lists, and update student data demographic
    Supervise the use of all office equipment
    Provide initial first aid to students (if necessary) and assist in the preparation of the accident report
    Contact parents when school nurse is absent
    Collect monies and maintain accounts as directed by Principal
    Process building use requests
    Schedule parent/administrator conferences as requested
     
    Individual:
     
    Exhibit confidentiality in relation to students, parents and faculty
      Develop a positive working relationship with administration, staff, students and parents
    Assume responsibility for personal and professional growth and development by attending meetings, workshops, conferences and continuing education classes as related to office management and technology/equipment
    Be knowledgeable of and adhere to the District Safety Plan
