Denver Recovery Group (DRG) is seeking a detail-oriented and compassionate Administrative Assistant to support the daily operations of a busy outpatient treatment clinic. This is a computer-focused position that plays a critical role in patient experience, clinic efficiency, and compliance. The ideal candidate demonstrates professionalism, strong technical skills, discretion, and a commitment to helping others.
Position Overview
This role requires proficiency across multiple databases, including Electronic Medical Records (EMR), Central Registry, and Medical Billing systems, as well as intermediate to expert knowledge of Google Workspace. Accuracy, confidentiality, customer service, and teamwork are essential to success in this position.
DRG employees are classified as essential personnel and must have reliable personal transportation.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Answering and routing phone calls professionally
Ensuring effective communication among clinic departments
Checking in patients and facilitating the patient intake process
Collecting patient fees and accurately entering transactions into EMR
Maintaining appropriate professional boundaries with all patients
Protecting confidentiality of sensitive data and patient identities
Delivering medication to patients unable to access the clinic in person, in accordance with clinic policies and procedures
Ensuring a safe environment for both employees and patients
Maintaining adequate inventory of supplies and equipment
Daily restocking of clinic areas
Maintaining office equipment and scheduling repairs as needed
Making copies and performing general administrative support tasks
Participating in management-led meetings related to policies and strategic development
Staying current on industry standards through continuing education, workshops, and front-office best practices
Performing other duties as assigned
Physical Requirements:
Occasional light physical work, including exerting or lifting up to 20 pounds
Experience working in healthcare, behavioral health, or substance use treatment settings is a plus
