PRIMARY PURPOSE / FUNCTION:
Provide high-level administrative and communications support to the Director of Communications and Marketing by performing various complex, confidential, and detail-oriented duties. This role supports district-wide initiatives in community engagement, event planning, business partnerships, internal and external communications, and staff and student recognition. The position requires strong organizational skills, sound judgment, the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, and the professionalism to represent the district in communications with business partners, community stakeholders, and internal leadership.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education/Certification:
High School Diploma or GED
Two years of college education preferred
Special Knowledge/Skills:
Proficient in typing, word processing, and digital file organization
Skilled in Microsoft Office Suite, Google Workspace, and related software for creating newsletters, spreadsheets, databases, and presentations
Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a dynamic work environment
Knowledge of school district structure, operations, and administrative procedures
Ability to interact professionally and maintain a calm, patient demeanor when engaging with staff, community members, and external partners
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in document preparation, communications, and financial tracking
Experience:
Two or more years of secretarial experience, preferably in a public education environment
