Job Description

The Bryan County School System is accepting applications for qualified candidates for an Administrative Assistant in the Division of Curriculum & Instruction. The successful candidate must possess at least a high school diploma or GED and a minimum of five (5) years of secretarial or administrative experience or the equivalent.  Other job requirements include:


 


Skills and Abilities



  • General knowledge of educational administration practices, policies, regulations, and professional ethics.



  • Strong oral and written communication skills, including exceptional customer service, public relations, and telephone etiquette.

  • Proficiency in office management procedures and administrative support functions.

  • Advanced knowledge of Google Workspace and Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and related applications.

  • Accurate typing skills with a minimum speed of 60 words per minute.

  • Ability to organize, prioritize, and manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in maintaining records, reports, and correspondence.

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment when handling sensitive information.



  • Ability to work collaboratively with district administrators, school personnel, parents, and community stakeholders.
