    General Duties: The Administrative Assistant provides professional support to the Director of Early Education and contributes to the school's operational success by balancing planning and preparation with the flexibility required to adapt to unique daily needs.

     

     

     

    Areas of Responsibility:

     

    • Support the Director of Early Education with various projects and tasks
    • Maintain prompt, polite, and professional attention to staff and students
    • Secure substitute classroom coverage as needed
    • Coordinate curriculum distribution and collection
    • Participate in the planning, preparation, and execution of school events
    • Serve as an aftercare staff member, providing direct supervision and support to students during aftercare hours
    • Additional items as requested by administration

     

    Professional Qualifications

    • Minimum of a high school diploma or GED equivalent
    • Exhibits versatility using technology; proficiency with Google Suite highly preferred
    • Displays a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
    • Demonstrates strong communication skills (both written and verbal)
    • Effectively manages time and prioritizes work appropriately
    • Professional appearance and attitude

     

    Personal Qualifications

    • Shows evidence of spiritual maturity and has a personal Christian testimony
    • Attends a church with a doctrinal statement consistent with that of Lakewood Park
    • Understands and protects the confidential nature of the information entrusted to him/her
    • Values life-long learning and has a teachable spirit
    • Works well both independently and in a team environment
    • Dependable, arriving on time, and working the expected hours each week

     

    Physical Qualifications

    • Able to climb stairs, stand, sit, walk, kneel, bend, push, pull, and reach a chalkboard height
    • Can lift, lower, or carry up to twenty pounds
    • Tolerates occasional interruptions, noise, high stress, and outdoor duty in temperatures that may exceed 90 degrees fahrenheit or be lower than 50 degrees fahrenheit
    • Able to operate a copier, telephone, computer, printer, calculator, and AV equipment
    • Has manual dexterity, eye/hand coordination, and visual acuity (both near and far)
    • Can speak and hear clearly and communicate data 

     

    Supervision and Evaluation

    The Administrative Assistant (Early Education) is supervised and evaluated by the Director of Early Education.

     

    Commitment Required 

    This full-time, non-exempt, position works 8 hours daily when school is in session, ten days before school begins and 10 days after it ends. This position does not work over school breaks, e-learning days, or weather-related delays or cancellations. This position is located at the Lakewood Park North Campus 1600 S. Grandstaff Drive Auburn, IN 46706.
