JOB SUMMARY: The primary purpose of this position is to support the operation of the Department of Campus Safety and Risk Management by providing administrative, supervisory and office management support. The position provides direct assistance to the department’s Director, Assistant Directors, Lead Officers, Campus Safety Officers, and student employees.
Employment type: Full-Time (1.0 FTE), Benefits-Eligible, Non-Except (Hourly)
Pay Range: $18.50-$20.50 per hour
Typical office hours are 8:00am to 4:30pm Monday through Friday.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage all communications and office workflow for Campus Safety Department.
- Develop and maintain office paperwork and manage record systems.
- Assist the Director with preparing the department’s annual security and fire safety reporting document, in accordance with the Federal Clery Act.
- Manage the documentation of the department's operational budget.
- Create RFP’s, reconcile department credit card statements, and handle department purchases.
- Manage the processing of all parking information including parking permits registrations, permit and citation billing, and tracking of citations and appeals.
- Responsible for the campus-wide lost and found program.
- Provide support to Campus Safety Leadership Team in the event of campus emergencies and events.
- Contribute to a favorable working climate within the College through a friendly manner and cooperative attitude in deadlines with other staff, faculty, students, and visitors.
- Maintain confidentiality of records and departmental contacts.
- Assume responsibility to become familiar with and operate computer programs to facilitate all documentation in a timely manner.
- The position is designated as weather- or emergency-essential. In the event of a closure of the College, it is vital that you report to work as needed by the Management team.
- Supervise student office assistants and the student Dispatch program.
- Manage student employment payroll.
- Manage in hiring, training, scheduling, and performance evaluations.
- Ensure proper radio communication procedures and dispatch protocols are followed.
- Developing and managing training materials, following up with student employees and supervisors to address issues, scheduling, and conducting dispatch training.
- All other duties as assigned.
Prerequisites
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- General office/administrative experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel and database management.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s Degree.
- Knowledge of Federal Clery Act.
- Knowledge of Google Suite.
- Knowledge of Omnigo database software.
- Emergency dispatch experience.
WORKING ENVIRONMENT:
- Exposure to dangerous situations (e.g. weapons, assaults, traffic hazards, and blood borne pathogens). Personal or environmental threats (chemical spills, fires, etc.).
