About the Department

**OPEN TO INTERNAL RICE COUNTY EMPLOYEES ONLY**

The Administrative Assistant for the HRA (Housing and Redevelopment Authority) Department provides assistance to the department to meet various clerical, public contact and reporting duties. Determines eligibility for housing programs and conducts inspections for housing programs. 

Position Duties

  • Assists selected department staff with administrative duties. 
  • Provides general clerical services to selected department staff, including filing, mass mailings, preparing briefing materials, performing income verification, generating reports, conducting data entry, using telephonic interpreters, answering phones, copying, faxing, and scanning. 
  • Provides information to the public, responds to inquiries from visitors and callers; schedules appointments.
  • Provides clerical support for the Rice County Community Land Trust (CLT)  
  • Conduct annual inspections and re-inspections. 
  • Determine eligibility for affordable housing programs
  • Manage housing waiting lists
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: This position requires an Associate Degree in Business Administration or related degree, and one to three years of related experience and/or equivalent combination of education and experience
 

Other Qualifications

HIRING RANGE / UNION:  $25.86 - $27.02 per hour / GU – Grade 7
 
HOURS: Normal business hours are Monday thru Friday, 8:00am – 4:30pm. Position is full-time, 40 hours per week.
