Position Overview:
We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Administrative Assistant to
support day-to-day office operations and provide administrative support to the
VP of Product Development. This position plays an important role in managing customer
communications, assisting with task management, maintaining accurate
information, and ensuring follow-through on daily items. The ideal candidate is
a self-starter with strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills,
and the ability to stay organized while supporting multiple priorities.
Flooring-related knowledge of processes or products is preferred.

Key Responsibilities:

Customer
Service:
Respond promptly and professionally to emailed inquiries,
day-to-day customer requests, and general office communications.

·        
Supervisor
Support:
Assist the supervisor with task management, follow-up items,
scheduling support, and other administrative needs to help ensure priorities
are completed accurately and on time.

·        
Administrative
Support:
Perform secretarial and general office tasks including filing,
data entry, document preparation, record maintenance, and other clerical duties
as assigned.

·        
Catalog
Maintenance:
Assist in maintaining non-ProSource product catalogs, ensuring
product information is accurate, organized, and updated with a high level of
attention to detail.

·        
Follow-Up
and Task Tracking:
Monitor pending items, communicate updates, and help
ensure assigned tasks are completed with strong follow-through.

·        
Product
and Process Support:
Use knowledge of flooring-related products, processes,
and terminology to assist with customer inquiries, internal communication, and
accurate information management.

·        
Office
Communication:
Communicate effectively with team members, customers,
vendors, and other departments to support smooth daily operations.

·        
Organization
and Accuracy:
Maintain organized records, track information carefully, and
identify discrepancies or missing details that require follow-up.

·         Assist with sample showroom display maintenance: Organize, update, lift, and place product sample boards for tile, wood, vinyl, and related product lines. Must be able to safely lift, carry, and position sample boards weighing approximately 5–10 pounds each as part of regular showroom and product support duties.


Qualifications:

High School diploma or equivalent required

·        
Previous experience in an administrative
assistant, secretarial, customer service, or office support role preferred.

·        
Strong written and verbal communication skills,
with the ability to respond professionally to emailed inquiries and daily
requests.

Exceptional attention to detail, accuracy, and
organization.

·        
Self-starter with a proactive attitude and
strong follow-through.

·        
Ability to manage multiple responsibilities and
prioritize tasks in a fast-paced office environment.

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word,
Excel, Outlook).

·        
Flooring-related knowledge of products,
processes, or terminology is preferred.
