POSITION OBJECTIVE: This position supports the sales, marketing, and operations efforts of Minnesota Farmfest and Dakotafest. This position will work closely with the Expositions Accounting Specialist and Sales Director.

REPORTS TO: Expositions Accounting Specialist

LOCATION: Eagan, MN office location; with potential assignments on-site in Redwood Falls, MN and Mitchell, SD.

DURATION: June 1, 2026 - August 30, 2026

PAY: $18 - $20 per hour

DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Answer the IDEAg phone line and respond to caller inquiries
  • Monitor and respond to inquiries in the IDEAg and IDEAg Ops email inboxes (All the marketing forms are directed to this inbox as well as general show inquiries)
  • Collect forms, maintain grids, assist with developing distribution plans and work with the designer, printer and/or exhibitor for ticket/postcard/brochure custom marketing programs
  • Assist with the exhibitor wristband purchase and distribution process
  • Assist with filing various forms for the shows (i.e. insurance, MN Operator Certificate)
  • Maintain the Booth Sampling Grid and notify approved/denied exhibitors
  • Proof Exhibitor Lists, documents, etc.
  • Prepare exhibitor renewal packets
  • Salesforce order entry and credit card processing
  • Attend and work both farm shows events, if needed
  • Show site duties include admissions gate ambassador, attendee ticket counting, cash management support, and other duties as assigned
  • Other duties as assigned

RELATIONSHIPS:

Works daily with IDEAg marketing, communications, sales, and operations team members. Collaborate and communicate with external business partners and vendors.

EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:

  • Some college coursework with an emphasis on Marketing or Communications preferred
  • Previous customer service work experience preferred
  • High degree of professionalism and the ability to multi-task
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office, including Office, Word, and Excel
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills
