Position Summary
The Admissions Advisor (Aviation Focus) serves as the primary point of contact for prospective students interested in pursuing careers in aviation, while also supporting admissions for other programs as required. This role is responsible for guiding applicants through the admissions process, providing accurate program information, assessing eligibility requirements, and supporting students from initial inquiry through to enrollment. The ideal candidate is passionate about the aviation industry, has strong communication skills, and is motivated to help learners achieve their career goals across aviation and other program areas.

Key Responsibilities
Student Recruitment & Advising
- Respond to inquiries from prospective students via phone, email, virtual meetings, and in-person appointments.
- Conduct admissions interviews and career planning discussions.
- Provide detailed information regarding Aviation programs, admission requirements, program outcomes, and career opportunities.
- Assist applicants in identifying educational pathways aligned with their career goals.
- Guide prospective students through the application and enrollment process.
Admissions & Documentation
- Review applications and supporting documentation for completeness.
- Verify admission requirements and assess applicant eligibility.
- Coordinate transcript collection and admission documentation.
- Maintain accurate student records in the institution's CRM and student information systems.
- Ensure compliance with institutional policies and regulatory requirements.
Student Support
- Assist students with understanding tuition, funding options, and available resources.
- Provide timely follow-up and ongoing support throughout the admissions process.
- Collaborate with academic departments to ensure a smooth transition from enrollment to program start.
Outreach & Engagement
- Participate in recruitment events, information sessions, career fairs, and community outreach activities.
- Build relationships with industry partners, schools, and community organizations.
- Support marketing initiatives and lead-generation activities.
Compliance & Quality Assurance
- Ensure all admissions activities align with institutional policies and applicable regulatory requirements.
- Maintain confidentiality and handle student information in accordance with privacy legislation.
- Stay current on aviation industry trends and program developments.
Qualifications Required
- Education experience, Aviation experience familiar with PPL, CPL flying schools, Communications, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in admissions, recruitment, sales, customer service, or student advising.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
- Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and CRM/database systems.
Preferred
- Experience working in a Aviation School.
- Knowledge of aviation careers, training pathways, and industry requirements.
- Experience with student funding programs and financial aid processes.
- Familiarity with private post-secondary regulatory requirements in British Columbia.
