BAE Systems is looking for an Area Business Leader in our Aftermarket to work in our Fort Wayne, Indiana facility and provide operational input to overall Fort Wayne business strategy. In this role you will:
Contribute fully to annual operations planning for the business
Operationalize strategy with 3-to-5-year vision, specific to area of work
Understand, evaluate and critique quarterly financial plan inputs
Support customer growth opportunities
Develop and maintain effective customer relationships that give credibility to operations
Understand and address customer concerns timeously and appropriately
Decide and/or collaborate on decisions regarding outsourcing versus vertical integration direction
Maintain a team that is structured and staffed correctly
Coach and mentor team members
Drive collaboration within team and with other teams
Proactively support initiatives relating to design and process compliance and improvements
- Develop and present effective communication and presentations for customer and business level engagement
- Support and ensure compliance to FAA Regulations

Required Skills and Education
- Degree in engineering or manufacturing management, or other discipline with relevant experience leading technical manufacturing and 5-10 years of experience
- Demonstrated experience leading diverse, multi-discipline teams in a high tempo environment
- Leadership experience in Aftermarket / Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO)
- Expertise applying project management skills and techniques including: stakeholder management, team-building, critical decision making, cost analysis, risk mitigation and opportunity realization
- Experience and strong knowledge in Lean - Sigma manufacturing principles
- Strong presentation, data analysis and organizational skills

- Master’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Manufacturing Management or other relevant field , or other discipline and 10-15 years of demonstrated experience leading teams in a high tempo, aerospace electronics production environment
- Knowledge in FAA Regulations and Standards
- Experience in developing Design for Manufacturing standards
- Leadership experience within supply chain environment
- Strong foundation in the Operations function
- Experience with the development and manufacture of safety / flight critical electronics
