Job Description

Description

If you believe a handshake still matters, know the difference between a balance sheet and a balance scale (grain cart optional), and enjoy helping farmers and ag businesses grow—not just survive—this might be your next great chapter.

At Fidelity Bank & Trust, we’re a community bank rooted in Iowa soil, serving producers, family operations, and ag-related businesses who expect straight talk, smart lending, and a banker who knows them by name—not account number.

What You’ll Do:

  • Build and manage ag & commercial lending relationships—crop, livestock, ag services, and rural businesses
  • Conduct on-farm and business visits (boots welcome, suits optional)
  • Analyze financials, cash flow, collateral, and risk—then structure loans that make sense
  • Partner with credit, compliance, and leadership to get deals done right
  • Grow deposits, deepen relationships, and strengthen the local economy
  • Be a trusted advisor—not just a rate-quote machine

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience in ag and/or commercial lending (farm background = bonus points)
  • Strong credit skills and comfort discussing financials with real people
  • Relationship-builder with community mindset
  • Self-starter who thrives in a small-town, team-first environment
  • Banking or finance degree preferred (experience counts too)

Why You’ll Like It Here

  • Decisions made locally—no faceless credit committees three states away
  • Competitive salary + incentive opportunities
  • Strong benefits, retirement plan, and paid time off
  • A bank that genuinely lives our mission  - making hometown lives better

Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Agricultural Economics, Business Administration, or a related field and/or a minimum of 5 years of experience in commercial/agricultural lending or a similar role within the financial industry.

  • Excellent analytical and financial modeling skills.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
