Description

Position Summary

As a Telehealth Physical Therapist, you will provide evaluation, treatment planning, and rehabilitation services to injured workers through secure telehealth technologies. You will develop and oversee individualized, evidence-based treatment programs focused on restoring function, improving work capacity, and facilitating safe and timely return-to-work outcomes. 


Services may be delivered directly through virtual patient encounters or in partnership with an onsite Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) who assists with patient assessments, objective data collection, and treatment implementation. Working collaboratively with providers, case managers, employers, and clinical staff, you will monitor progress, modify treatment plans as needed, and ensure continuity of care throughout the rehabilitation process. 


The ideal candidate demonstrates strong clinical reasoning, exceptional communication skills, proficiency with telehealth platforms, and a commitment to delivering high-quality, compliant, and patient-centered care in a remote environment. 


Specialties: Orthopedics, sports medicine, manual therapy, ergonomics, injury prevention. 


Schedule: PRN, as needed (Monday through Friday)

Compensation: Starting compensation range is $50.00-$60.00 per hour. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location.


Responsibilities

  • Assesses the therapeutic and rehabilitative status of the patient and develops an appropriate treatment plan virtually. 
  • Updates and modifies the treatment plan on an ongoing basis.
  • Uses clinical reasoning in treating and planning, implementing, and monitoring patient progress.
  • Instruct and counsel patients effectively in exercises, home programs, and patient education. 
  • Maintain open communication with the patient and referring physician (when applicable) regarding the patient's plan of care and progress.
  • Treat team members, patients, families, and others with dignity and respect.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • Graduate or Doctorate Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program 
  • Active California PT license required (or license in progress) 
  • Excellent work ethic and dedication to patient success   
  • Proficiency in MS Office and patient management software 
  • Knowledge of physical therapy office management systems and procedures  
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills  
  • Outpatient experience is preferred; new graduates are welcome to apply!
