AI Systems Supervisor

Salary Range: $92,269 - $123, 687 Annually

Summary

The Senior Enterprise AI Specialist is a strategic contributor within the IT department who serves as the organization's primary resource for AI tool selection, enterprise deployment, and adoption management. This role ensures that AI investments deliver lasting value by combining strong technical implementation skills with a focus on user enablement, system governance, and continuous optimization. The position requires a forward-thinking professional who is equally comfortable managing technology and engaging people.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead the end-to-end AI tool selection process including needs analysis, market research, vendor demonstrations, pilot programs, and final recommendations to IT leadership.
  • Manage enterprise AI implementations, coordinating across IT, vendors, and business units to ensure on-time, on-budget, and high-quality deployments.
  • Develop structured adoption strategies that include stakeholder engagement, communication planning, role-based training, and success measurement.
  • Monitor live AI systems to proactively detect performance degradation, security risks, integration failures, or reliability concerns and take corrective action.
  • Actively track advancements in AI tools, emerging use cases, and industry best practices to keep the organization at the forefront of AI utilization.
  • Build and manage a centralized repository of AI documentation, including policies, procedures, user guides, and technical specifications.
  • Identify post-implementation optimization opportunities and work with stakeholders to refine AI workflows and expand capabilities.
  • Define and report on key performance indicators related to AI system health, adoption metrics, and business impact.
  • Partner with IT security and compliance teams to ensure AI platforms adhere to data protection policies and regulatory obligations.
  • Facilitate regular stakeholder reviews to communicate system status, roadmap updates, and improvement opportunities.
  • Provide technical escalation support and serve as a liaison between end users and AI vendors.

  • Comprehensive understanding of enterprise AI, machine learning, natural language processing, and intelligent automation technologies.
  • Proven ability to manage the full lifecycle of technology implementations in complex organizational environments.
  • Strong grasp of IT infrastructure, data architecture, and security principles relevant to AI deployments.
  • Excellent presentation, written communication, and facilitation skills.
  • Ability to influence without authority and foster collaboration across business functions.
  • Critical thinking skills with a structured approach to evaluating tools and solving technical challenges.
  • Knowledge of change management frameworks and adult learning methodologies preferred.
  • Familiarity with data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA) and ethical AI guidelines preferred.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

This position is headquartered in Loves Park, IL and operates in a professional office environment. The role is primarily sedentary with standard computer-based work. Occasional evening or weekend hours may be needed to support go-live activities or system maintenance. Limited travel may be required.

Minimum qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Analytics, or a related field required and 5+ years of technical experience — including IT, software engineering, controls engineering, or related disciplines — with a minimum of 2 years of demonstrated expertise in AI, intelligent automation, or enterprise application implementation — OR 9+ years of technical experience with equivalent AI/automation depth. 
  • Demonstrated experience successfully bringing AI or complex technology solutions to production in an enterprise setting.
  • Professional certifications in AI, cloud platforms, or project management preferred.
