Position Summary

Davcor Aviation Services is seeking dependable Aircraft Wash Technicians to support aircraft appearance, preservation, and operational readiness. This role is responsible for washing aircraft and aircraft components using high-pressure wash systems and performing pre- and post-wash lubrication in accordance with established procedures.

This position works in a safety-sensitive, aviation operations environment and requires attention to detail, adherence to safety programs, and the ability to work around aircraft and ground support equipment.


Principal Accountabilities

  • Wash aircraft and aircraft components using high-pressure wash systems

  • Perform pre- and post-wash aircraft lubrication per established procedures

  • Install and remove protective covers and tape vent areas prior to washing

  • Move aircraft utilizing towing equipment and assist in aircraft positioning

  • Operate ground support equipment and portable firefighting equipment

  • Wash and rinse external and internal aircraft surfaces to remove grease, dirt, oil, fungus, and stains

  • Polish and clean windscreens and canopies using approved compounds and materials

  • Use and maintain aircraft washing and cleaning equipment

  • Comply with Foreign Object Damage (FOD), Hazardous Waste, and Tool Control programs

  • Follow all general, industrial, and contract-specific safety rules and regulations

  • Obtain and maintain required company or government ground support equipment licenses

  • Utilize two-way communication equipment as required

  • Perform other qualified duties as assigned


Knowledge & Skills

  • Familiarity with operational safety requirements while working on and around aircraft and ground support equipment

  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English

  • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions

  • Ability to comprehend instructions for the use of aircraft cleaning and ground support equipment

  • Strong attention to detail and safety awareness


Minimum Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English

  • Dependable and reliable attendance

  • Strong attention to detail

  • Ability to work evening and night shifts as dictated by aircraft schedules


Work Environment & Physical Requirements

  • Requires standing, walking, and sitting for extended periods of time

  • Requires frequent climbing, bending, stooping, squatting, crawling, crouching, kneeling, lifting, carrying, balancing, and reaching above shoulder level

  • Ability to push or pull weight up to 70 pounds

  • Requires eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity

  • Requires close vision, including color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus

  • Requires hearing within normal ranges

  • May require the use of a respirator

  • Exposure to varying work environments, including hangars, flight lines, and maintenance shops

  • Exposure to high noise levels, extreme temperature changes, direct sunlight, wind, rain, and inclement weather

  • Required to wear protective clothing and safety equipment during extreme hot or cold conditions

  • Ability to physically operate aircraft ground servicing equipment including vehicles, tugs, tractors, and high-pressure wash systems
