Required Qualifications
- Majoring in Design, Illustration, Visual Arts, Media Studies, Marketing, or an equivalent major.
- 1-year minimum experience developing print and digital marketing materials.
- Prior experience with programs in Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Photoshop and Illustrator as demonstrated in application materials.
- Current CPR/AED Certification or willingness to obtain within the first month of employment.
Advertised Salary Range
$12.60 per hour
Preferred Qualifications
- Professional experience working collaboratively on a team.
- Prior experience with print production and graphic design.
- Prior experience with other design platforms or a willingness to learn.
Position Overview
The Graphic Design Program Manager for KU Recreation Services will promote events and programs the KU community by designing flyers, posters, and other advertisements for use in print media outlets and digital signage throughout the building and social media channels. By utilizing photographic and illustrative design elements, the graphic designer will work collaboratively with other team members to create highly polished marketing campaigns. Occasional job duties may require weekend and evening hours as needed.

Position Requirements
During the semester term of the appointment, the student hourly must be enrolled in no fewer than 6 credit hours. For summer periods the student hourly must: (1) have been enrolled in no less than 6 hours in the past spring semester or (2) be pre-enrolled in the upcoming fall semester in no less than 6 hours or (3) be enrolled in summer session or (4) be admitted to study in the upcoming fall semester. Student Hourlies may be undergraduate or graduate students. (Exceptions granted for GRA/GTA/GA appointments DO NOT apply to Student Hourly appointments).
