Headquartered in Chicago with offices nationwide, we are the largest owner and operator of healthcare real assets in the country. Our national presence allows us to deliver innovative real estate solutions wherever healthcare is evolving, guided by deep industry expertise, entrepreneurial thinking, and a commitment to long-term value.

At Remedy, we believe great ideas can come from anywhere. We foster a collaborative environment where team members take ownership, think creatively, and make a meaningful impact on our clients, partners, and communities. We're looking for motivated professionals who thrive on solving complex challenges, embrace continuous growth, and are excited to help shape the future of healthcare real estate. If that sounds like you, we'd love to meet you.

Position Overview

The Analyst, Business Intelligence role offers a unique opportunity to drive strategic decision-making across Remedy's portfolio of medical outpatient buildings through data ownership, financial analysis, and business intelligence. You'll own critical data pipelines, support internal analytics platforms, and provide insights that directly inform asset management, leasing, and investment decisions. If you're analytically curious, detail-oriented, and motivated to build deep expertise in healthcare real estate analytics, we want to hear from you. This role combines data management, lease and financial analysis, and problem-solving to support the firm's ongoing operational and financial success. As part of a growing analytics team, you'll have significant autonomy and exposure to modern data tools and platforms.

Responsibilities:

  • Data Ownership & Pipeline Management
    • Own the accuracy and completeness of the firm's key data sources, including lease data, tenant information, market highlights, and occupancy metrics.
    • Collect, validate, clean, and manage data from internal systems (including Yardi/DataFreedom), third-party platforms, and manual sources on a regular cadence while maintaining data integrity and database hygiene.
    • Maintain and continuously improve databases and reference files used across the firm.
    • Research and compile tenant, prospect, and market data to support Asset Management, Investments, Leasing, and other business functions.
  • Reporting, Analysis & Platform Support
    • Support the development, maintenance, and enhancement of internal reporting tools and platforms used across the organization.
    • Perform exploratory analysis to identify trends, anomalies, and meaningful patterns across leasing, tenant, operational, and market datasets.
    • Write and modify SQL queries to retrieve, validate, and analyze data, ensuring accuracy and consistency across reporting outputs.
    • Create data visualizations and dashboards to support decision-making across departments.
  • Lease & Financial Analysis
    • Analyze lease structures, terms, and renewal timing to inform asset renewal strategy, renegotiation timing, and portfolio benchmarking.
    • Research healthcare real estate market conditions, leasing benchmarks, and competitive positioning to inform asset management decisions; stay current on market trends and tenant credit.
    • Analyze property and portfolio-level financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements, to identify opportunities and risks.
    • Compile and organize data for property- and portfolio-level business plans and supplemental reporting materials.
    • Support forecasting, budgeting, and reporting efforts to drive improved property-level outcomes and insights.
    • Calculate and track key real estate metrics including occupancy, WALT (weighted average lease term), NOI, rent growth, delinquency, and mark-to-market IRR.
  • Process Improvement
    • Identify opportunities to automate, streamline, or improve existing data processes and reporting workflows.
    • Document data sources, processes, and methodology to ensure the team's work is consistent, repeatable, and scalable.
    • Contribute ideas and best practices that enhance team effectiveness and strengthen support across the organization.
    • Prioritize across competing requests from multiple departments and manage recurring responsibilities independently.

This job description is intended to provide a general overview of the position and is not an exhaustive list of all duties, responsibilities, or qualifications. Responsibilities may be modified, expanded, or reassigned as business needs evolve.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., finance, real estate, business analytics, computer science, economics, statistics, or similar).
  • 1–3 years of experience in real estate, healthcare, data analytics, statistics, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and strong financial modeling skills are required.
  • General SQL or database querying knowledge is strongly preferred.
  • Experience with Yardi, Argus Enterprise, healthcare real estate platforms, or business intelligence tools is strongly preferred.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and a genuine commitment to data accuracy.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage recurring responsibilities independently and prioritize across competing requests.
  • Familiarity with real estate concepts (occupancy, WALT, NOI, lease structures, tenant credit) is preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex financial analysis to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate with cross-functional departments.
  • Comfort learning new tools and platforms, including cloud-based data environments and analytics applications.
  • Internship or coursework experience in real estate, healthcare, or a data-intensive environment is preferred.
  • Ability to work from Remedy's Chicago office on a hybrid schedule (2–4 days per week).
