Job Description

Description:

Our team is looking for a business analyst to help evaluate business processes, gather requirements, uncover areas for improvement, develop and implement new solutions, and help maintain existing solutions. You’ll work closely with other Averitt team members, programmers, and software vendors. You'll work to see software projects from start to finish, while supporting existing projects. You will also be in an on-call rotation for after-hours support.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Gather requirements and determine scope of projects

  • Coordinate internal resources for efficient execution of projects

  • Ensure that all projects are delivered on-time and within scope

  • Develop project scopes and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility

  • Ensure resource availability and allocation

  • Develop a detailed project plan to track progress

  • Use Jira to keep track of people and progress

  • Manage the relationship with the stakeholders

  • Use Confluence to create and maintain comprehensive project documentation

  • Analyze current IT systems, architectures, and processes

  • Identify risks, opportunities, faults, and areas for development within Averitt's software platforms

  • Execute well-thought-out solutions and plans to improve efficiencies across the products you support

  • Report issues, advances made, and other important information to stakeholders

  • Strategize with others on how to best align IS systems with company objectives

  • Advise leadership on weak points, avenues for improvement, and project risks
