QUALIFICATIONS:
1. High School Diploma
2. Experience and proficiency in clerical skills
3. Knowledge of office procedures related to office duties and experience in the operation of office equipment
4. Adequate knowledge and skills in answering the telephone, word processing, spreadsheets, and databases.
5. Bilingual (Spanish) is highly desirable, but not required

REPORTS TO: Junior High Principal and Associate Principal
Specific Job Skills: Ability to handle large volumes of work and a variety of jobs associated with the running of a busy office in an efficient and accurate manner. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, able to effectively communicate via phone, email, and in person. Excellent bookkeeping skills and the ability to maintain very accurate records. Understands the principles of organizational management and timely implementation. Appreciates the need for accuracy and consistency in the workplace. A natural forward planner who consistently assesses school procedures provides suggestions for improvement, and critically assesses their own performance.
Personality: Self-starter, a results-oriented person with a positive outlook and a clear focus on high quality in all aspects of the job. Empathetic and comfortable dealing with a range of administrators, faculty, staff, and students. Reliable and able to solve problems independently and collaboratively
Computer Skills: Working knowledge of modern office practices and procedures. Working knowledge of computers and electronic data processing; must be adept in the use of Excel and Microsoft Word, with an emphasis on creating and maintaining accurate databases. Must have or be able to develop proficiency with specific applications in use: Google Office Products, Microsoft Office Products (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
- Anticipate, respond to, and follow up on school operations related to the either administrator's roles and responsibilities.
- Use personal judgment and initiative to develop effective and constructive solutions to challenges and obstacles related to daily operations of the school.
- Anticipate, respond to, and follow up on faculty and student needs as they arise.
- Maintain accurate databases related to all facility needs for the school.
- Coordinate procedures in conjunction with the administration and the district Database Team.
- Plan and carry out direct notifications and documentation for Momence Junior High parent users of the TeacherEase Portal.
- Maintain, develop, and execute data reports as requested by the administration. Assists in the administration of the summer responsibilities for the main office.
- Coordinate communication on the school website with the Principal.
- Maintain accurate records for TeacherEase information.
- Update all student contact information throughout the year.
- Maintain the school-wide Master Calendar.
- Attend on-going training to develop relevant knowledge and skills.
Work Details: 200 days, 10 months, Position. July off. $16.30 per hour. Excellent benefits package included.
