    PRIMARY PURPOSE:
    The Apprentice Plumber assists the supervisor in the maintenance and operations of all plumbing systems in the district.


    QUALIFICATIONS:

    High School Graduate or GED required 

    1+ years of plumbing experience preferred Apprentice license preferred
    Able to read blueprints and schematics 

    Dependable and cooperative
    Must have and maintain a valid driver's license and be insurable


    MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
     Assist to maintain all plumbing systems under a plumber.
     Assists with services needed for plumbing such as repairing water leaks, replacing pipes, equipment, fixtures, and irrigation systems.
     Performs all duties in a safe manner to avoid injury to oneself and/or to others.
     Performs other related duties as assigned.


    EQUIPMENT USED:
     District vehicle, two-way radio, backhoe, trenching machine, rooter rotor, cordless/power hand tools, and soldering torch


    WORKING CONDITIONS:
    Mental Demands/Physical Demands/Environment Factors:
     Frequent district travel, strenuous bending, climbing, and walking, working in extreme weather conditions, working on slippery uneven surfaces, and exposure to toxic fumes and chemicals
