Georgetown Community Hospital a 12 minute drive
from Lexington, KY is searching for an APRN Nurse Practitioner to join our Express
Care outpatient clinic. This is Full Time position and you would be a
member of a highly skilled team of physicians, medical assistants, technicians,
and rad techs. Your graduation of an accredited nurse practitioner
program, licensed as an APRN, board certification, and current BLS
certification are the minimum requirements.
In this position you will be providing and
delivering acute care services to patients of all ages. As an APRN you will have the opportunity to
learn, apply evidence based practices, and boldly make decisions for the best
interest of your patients. We are
located in a state-of-the-art facility with our own procedure rooms, imaging
and laboratory equipment. This allows
you as a provider to have the tools and information at your finger-tips to
diagnose and treat your patients more effectively and efficiently. Having a DOT certification would help you in
this role as we perform occupational health services here. Also, a DEA certification would be helpful too. If you are looking for a fast-paced environment

Job Responsibilities
•
Provide direct
treatment and management of health conditions, including use of prescriptive
authority and referral to other healthcare providers or community resources.
•
Provide counseling and
education of patients and their families/caregivers concerning preventative
health and wellness, treatment options, and community resources.
•
Obtain patient history
and perform assessment via observation, interview and examination.
•
Document patient care
performed, assessments made, and orders given.
•
Order, perform and
interpret diagnostic studies.
•
Perform preventative
health assessments, screening, immunizations and care.
•
Provide care in the
context of promoting age- and culture-appropriate informed choices, shared
decision making, and the right to self-determination.
Qualifications
•
Graduate of a Bachelor’s Degree program
in Nursing
•
Master’s Degree from an accredited
nurse practitioner program
•
Current Kentucky license of a RN and an
ARNP license (with DEA number preferred)
•
BLS required.
•
ACLS and PALS obtained within 6 months
of hire
•
Effective
communication skills
•
Computer
literate
•
Requires
critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with
minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful
environment and take appropriate action.
