We are seeking an experienced, strategic, and relationship-driven Area Director of Sales & Marketing to lead revenue generation, brand positioning, and sales strategy for two of Asheville’s most distinctive hospitality experiences: The Radical Hotel and Zelda Dearest.



This is an opportunity for a bold hospitality leader who understands how to balance creativity with commercial performance — someone who can drive group business, cultivate community partnerships, elevate brand presence, and lead with both strategy and style.

What You’ll Do




  • Lead all sales and marketing efforts for both hotels

  • Develop and execute strategic sales plans to maximize transient, group, corporate, and catering revenue

  • Build strong relationships with local businesses, tourism partners, event planners, and community organizations

  • Identify and pursue new market opportunities and revenue streams

  • Collaborate with revenue management to optimize ADR, occupancy, and total hotel profitability

  • Oversee digital marketing strategy, brand partnerships, public relations, and social presence

  • Lead, mentor, and inspire the sales team through accountability and creativity

  • Represent both properties at industry events, networking functions, trade shows, and client meetings

  • Partner closely with operations and F&B leadership to ensure seamless guest and client experiences

  • Analyze market trends, competitive positioning, and performance metrics to drive decision-making
