Red River Youth Academy is seeking a dedicated Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner (ARNP) to provide comprehensive care to adolescents in our residential treatment program. Under the direction of the Medical Director, the ARNP will conduct psychiatric evaluations, history and physical assessments, and follow-up care. This role ensures continuity of care from intake through discharge, supporting both the physical and psychological needs of our clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform psychiatric evaluations and history/physical assessments for all patients.
- Provide follow-up care and monitor patient progress.
- Collaborate weekly with the Medical Director to review treatment plans and program integrity.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in electronic medical records.
- Work closely with therapists, physicians, and allied staff to ensure coordinated care.
- Comply with safety, infection control, and regulatory standards.
- Support compliance with state, federal, and JCAHO regulations.
Qualifications
- Education: MSN/APRN, ARNP, NP-BC, ACNP, FNP, ANP, or PA-C licensed under the Oklahoma

- Experience: Preferred experience with adolescent psychiatric care and at least one year in a residential or outpatient setting.
- Knowledge: Familiarity with Joint Commission standards, EMRs, patient confidentiality laws, and community resources.
- Skills: Strong communication, documentation, and collaboration skills.
Work Environment
This position operates in a temperature-controlled indoor environment. Tasks include walking, standing, sitting, and occasional lifting (up to 50 lbs). The role involves moderate mental stress and frequent collaboration with others. Standard precautions apply due to medium to high risk for workplace violence.
