Milwaukee Electronics is hiring an Assembler/Solderer who takes pride in doing precise, quality work. If you've got IPC Class 2 soldering skills and a sharp eye for detail, we want to hear from you. First shift, Monday–Friday, 6:30 AM–3:00 PM — no weekends.
What You'll Do
You'll build small electronic PCB assemblies and subassemblies from the ground up — soldering through-hole, surface-mount, and fine-pitch components by hand, depaneling finished boards, and inspecting your own work against IPC Class 2 standards. When something doesn't look right, you speak up. When there's a better way to do something, you say so.
Day-to-day, that looks like:
- Hand-soldering small-board assemblies to IPC Class 2 workmanship standards
- Stuffing, prepping, and mechanically assembling parts and subassemblies
- Depaneling boards accurately and safely
- Inspecting finished assemblies to confirm they meet quality and customer specs
- Identifying and escalating defects or process concerns promptly
- Maintaining accurate production counts, inspection records, and deviation logs
- Participating in Continuous Improvement and Lean activities
- Keeping your workspace clean, organized, and 6S-compliant
What You Bring
- High school diploma or GED
- Experience in electronics manufacturing or high-tech assembly
- Demonstrated IPC Class 2 soldering capability — you'll complete a hands-on soldering assessment as part of the process
- Experience with depaneling operations
- Ability to read assembly drawings, blueprints, and written work instructions
- Strong attention to detail and a quality-first mindset
- Clear, professional communication — especially when something needs to be flagged
- Basic math skills and ability to read simple quality metrics
- English proficiency (reading, writing, and comprehension of work instructions and safety procedures)
Physical & Environment Notes
This is a hands-on production role. You'll primarily be seated at a workstation with some standing and walking, frequent hand use, and occasional lifts up to 10 lbs. Close and color vision are required. The production floor environment includes moving equipment, airborne particles, and some chemical exposure.
