We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Assembly Scheduler to join our Production Control team. In this role, you will plan, coordinate, and maintain production schedules for the Assembly department to ensure customer demand, inventory targets, and operational objectives are achieved. Working closely with Production Management, Customer Service, Engineering, and Manufacturing teams, you will help optimize workflow, balance priorities, and support efficient production operations.

This position is an excellent opportunity for candidates with experience managing a high volume of SKUs in a low-volume, high-mix manufacturing environment. Success in this role requires strong organizational skills, the ability to manage multiple priorities, and a proactive approach to problem-solving in a fast-paced setting.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Review and analyze needs and data in order to determine course of action for production schedules.
  • Issue manufacturing orders to Assembly department in due date sequence ensuring alignment to meet order requirements. Exercise independent judgment, evaluate and compare possible courses of action and make decisions regarding scheduling of production
  • Monitor demand trends and maintain APS/MRP planning data to support production efficiency and capacity utilization.
  • Process inventory transactions and allocate finished goods inventory to support order fulfillment and inventory accuracy.
  • Coordinate production workflow and order prioritization to support schedule attainment and operational efficiency.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives that enhance scheduling effectiveness, inventory accuracy, and production efficiency.
  • Communicate with Customer Service regarding expedite requests, unique orders and monitor order entry, as needed.
  • Communicate and resolve material shortages, as needed.
  • Coordinate implementation of bill of material and routing changes resulting from Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) and Engineering Deviation Authorizations (EDAs).
  • Coordinate "specials" packets between the Database Facilitator and the shop floor.
  • Coordinate material expedites and alter schedules to meet unforeseen conditions.
  • Conduct cycle counts, investigate inventory discrepancies, and implement corrective actions to improve inventory accuracy.
  • Assist in execution of annual physical inventory.

Other Duties - Perform other job duties as assigned by Management.


Work Schedule

Normal working hours are typically an 8 hour work day within the operating hours of 6:00am - 2:30pm Monday – Friday; unless otherwise discussed and/or established by the manager or seasonal schedule changes. From time to time additional hours may be required, as needed. This position is expected to work onsite.

  • Experience utilizing ERP systems in a manufacturing environment; Syteline experience strongly preferred. 
  • Proven experience in production scheduling, MRP planning, inventory control, and cross-functional coordination.
  • Advanced organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other Office applications.
  • Ability to analyze data and apply basic math and reasoning to problem-solving.
  • Ability to multitask and manage multiple priorities, adapt to changing production demands, and maintain a strong sense of urgency while meeting deadlines.
  • Demonstrated attention to detail and accuracy in inventory control, cycle counting, and production reporting.
  • Ability to interpret manufacturing documentation, bills of material (BOM), and engineering changes (ECO); blueprint reading ability preferred.
