    SALARY:                                        Salary based on experience and education level per state salary schedule plus                                                                             competitive benefits package equal to approximately 35% of direct compensation.

    TERM OF EMPLOYMENT:             220-Day Contract

     

    QUALIFICATIONS:                         Hold a valid West Virginia School Administrator's Certificate or a West Virginia                                                                                            Vocational Administrator's Certificate. CTE Experience Preferred.

    1. Qualifications as outlined in West Virginia Code 18A-4-7a.
    2. Meet minimum standards for certification as set forth by the WV Board of Education in minimum standards for the Licensure of WV Vocational School Personnel and licensure of WV School Administrators.
    3. Good evaluations and/or recommendations from professional associates, employers, and/or supervisors.
    4. Exhibits knowledge of the duties and responsibilities of the position and demonstrates the ability to perform these duties and responsibilities.
    5. Ability to communicate effectively with students, school personnel, parents, representatives of business and industry and administrative council members.
    6. Educational philosophy is comparable with the Calhoun-Gilmer Career Center philosophy. Responsible for CTE programing, student placement/scheduling coordination, and student interventions/discipline.
    7. Ability to work cooperatively with others.
    8. Ability to lead, motivate and inspire employees and students. 

       

      RESPONSIBILITIES:

     

    1. Assists Director with instructional program planning, development and evaluation, and submits proposals for modification or change to the Administrative Council in a timely fashion.
    2. Provides instructional leadership and support to the staff and students of Calhoun-Gilmer Career Center.
    3. Manages professional, service, and pupil personnel in an effective and efficient manner.
    4. Assist Director with preparation of short term and long-range goals and objectives for the Calhoun-Gilmer Career Center which reflects intentions of administration, programmatic needs, and personnel needs based on relevant and timely data.
    5. Provides the initiative, creativity, enthusiasm, and decisiveness needed for progressive development of Calhoun-Gilmer Career Center.
    6. Responsible for CTE programing, student placement/scheduling coordination, and student interventions/discipline.
    7. Administers all GED programing as needed.
    8. Responsible for WVEIS data entry and collections and other data collections and coordination.
    9. Work cooperatively with staff members of other administrative division/schools/counties to develop and implement effective educational programs and to deliver appropriate services to students.
    10. Maintains professional work habits.
    11. Maintains and upgrades his/her professional skills.
    12. Promotes and maintains school-community relationship.
    13. All other duties assigned by the Director
