Womble Bond Dickinson (US) LLP is seeking a highly organized and field-ready Assistant Facilities & Construction Project Manager to join our Real Estate, Design and Construction team. This position may be in Phoenix, Las Vegas, Denver, or one of our California offices. This position will own the lifecycle of routine maintenance and repairs across our western locations while supporting construction initiatives nationally. In this role, you need to thrive equally behind a desk and on a job site, shift from vendor negotiation to executive reporting without missing a beat, and bring strategic discipline to an environment that demands both speed and precision.
Responsibilities:
Facilities Management
- Evaluate the scope of work for routine maintenance, repairs, and service requests across all locations
- Source, vet, and manage relationships with qualified vendors and subcontractors
- Triage and prioritize reactive maintenance tickets against planned preventive schedules
- Track and report repair types, frequencies, costs, and resolution times to leadership
- Identify recurring issues and develop proactive maintenance strategies to reduce long-term costs
- Oversee furniture repairs and replacements in coordination with the Directors of Administration and Office Managers
- Ensure compliance with building codes, safety regulations, and Firm standards
Construction Project Support
- Act as a project manager assistant on tenant improvements
- Conduct regular job site visits nationally to monitor progress, quality, and safety compliance
- Coordinate between architects, GCs, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders
- Track project schedules, RFIs, submittals, change orders, and punch lists
- Maintain project documentation and ensure all permitting and inspections are on track
- Escalate risks and blockers to the Real Estate Management Team promptly
Office Support— Partner with Directors of Administration /Office Managers
Work closely with Directors of Administration and Office Managers at each location to ensure a well-functioning workplace environment:
- Oversee sourcing and lifecycle management of office appliances (microwaves, refrigerators, dishwashers, etc.)
- Coordinate appliance repair, warranty claims, and replacements in a timely manner
- Support Directors of Administration and Office Managers with vendor escalations and contract renewals for all office service categories
- Ensure consistent service standards and experience across all locations
Reporting, Strategy & Team Development
- Produce regular maintenance and project status reports for leadership
- Build and maintain a vendor scorecard to drive accountability and performance
- Contribute to annual capital planning and deferred maintenance forecasting
- Monitor spend against approved budgets; flag variances early
- Recommend process improvements and technology tools to improve efficiency
- Serve as a responsive single point of contact for facilities issues at assigned locations
Required Qualifications
- 3–6 years of experience in facilities management, construction project coordination, or corporate real estate operations
- Demonstrated ability to scope and manage maintenance and repair work across multiple sites
- Experience managing a network of vendors and service contractors
- Comfort reading construction drawings, scopes of work, and contracts
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s, associate’s degree or certificate in Facilities Management, Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering, or related field
- PMP, CFM, FMP, or LEED credential
- Experience with ServiceNow and/or project management tools (e.g., Procore, Smartsheet, Microsoft Project)
- Background in tenant improvement or commercial office construction
- Familiarity with OSHA, ADA, and local building codes across western states
Compensation: The national average salary range for this role is $62,000 - $103,000. Starting salary will be determined based on location, qualifications and experience.
