Job Description

The Assistant Office Manager is responsible for assisting the Medical Office Manager with the daily management of the location. 



 



Major Duties and Responsibilities   





  • Assists Office manager with overseeing the daily office operations and delegates as needed. 







  • Assists with developing guidelines for prioritizing work activities, evaluating effectiveness, and modifying activities as necessary. 







  • Creates an atmosphere of team building for the site and set a professional example for staff. 







  • Assists with staff training and making sure the location has appropriate coverage. 







  • Assists in resolving patient complaints and customer service issues. 







  • Performs other duties as assigned. 







  • Maintains strictest confidentiality. 





 



Knowledge, Skills and Abilities 



        1. Knowledge of organizational policies, procedures, and systems. 





  1. Knowledge of insurance, billing, and denials processes. 







  1. Knowledge of computer systems and applications.  







  1. Skill in planning, organizing, delegating, and supervising. 







  1. Skill in evaluating the effectiveness of existing methods and procedures.  







  1. Skill in operating a variety of office equipment and computer programs.  







  1. Ability to work scheduled hours as defined in the job offer. 







  1. Ability to read, interpret and apply policies and procedures.
