Job Description

An Assistant Tech inspects product functions and monitors test procedures and equipment in a warehouse environment.

1st Shift: 8:00AM - 4:30PM, Monday - Friday

 

Responsibilities

  • Conduct testing procedures using specialized equipment.
  • Identify and troubleshoot issues in electronic equipment.
  • Disassemble and reassemble electronic devices.
  • Comply with quality performance standards.
  • Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition.
  • Ensure adherence to warehouse safety regulations, including compliance with ESD guidelines.
  • All other duties assigned, based on the business the warehouse supports.

Required Skills and Experience

  • Skilled in the operation of test equipment.
  • Comfortable working autonomously and in a team environment.
  • Thoroughness and attention to detail in task completion.
  • Proficiency in computer skills required for precise data entry of completed units.
  • Competent in maintaining accurate and organized records.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Skills & Experience

  • Previous technical experience, particularly with mobile devices/small electronics repair.
  • Analytical mindset and strong problem-solving abilities.
  • Familiarity with schematics.
  • Handles basic issues and problems and escalates more complex issues to higher-level staff.
  • Time-management skills.
  • Written and verbal communication skills.

Educational Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent work experience.

Physical Demands and Working Conditions

  • Warehouse/distribution center environment
  • The ability to lift, push and/or pull up to 50 lbs., if necessary.
  • The ability to stand and walk for an extended period of time, if necessary.
  • The ability to bend, push, pull, twist, and reach in a continuous/repetitive capacity, if necessary.
