POSITION SUMMARY: Assists in carrying out the policies set forth by the agency for the daily operation of the vocational program.
QUALIFICATIONS: High school graduate or equivalent and some experience working in related field. Provides own transportation for program coordination needs
SKILL SETS: Adequate communication skills, process verbal and written instructions, dependable, interact effectively with the public and staff, adaptability-able to deal with frequent change, delays or unexpected events, strong sense of commitment.
PHYSICAL AND ENVIORMENTAL DEMANDS: Possible exposure to bloodborne pathogens, biohazardous waste and hazardous waste. Frequent talking and hearing when communicates with clients, members of their families and agency staff. Patience, tolerance and ability to deal with stress are needed on a daily basis. Visual acuity and manual dexterity needed for required paperwork and data entry.
JOB SPECIFIC FUNCTIONS:
- Coordinates the vocational program in the absence of /or as requested by supervisor.
- Assists in obtaining information regarding new referrals and updates as needed.
- Assists in planning individualized support plans.
- Attends integration function provided for the individuals as necessary.
- Maintains required record keeping.
- Enters or retrieves individual contract data either manually or through data entry.
- Assists with packaging, sorting and assembly of contract work.
- Assists supervision in the procurement and bidding of contracts.
- Assists in meeting contract deadline.
- Participates in agency continuing quality improvement (CQI) activities.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS:
1. Adheres to Communicare, Inc. policies and procedures.
2. Attends mandatory in-services and other training/educational programs as required.

Full-time employees receive 12 days of vacation time and 12 days of sick time accrued throughout their first year of employment. Employee Assistance Counseling services available to all employees with limited dependent benefits. Full-time employees are eligible for up to 10 total visits per calendar year; dependents are eligible for up to 6 visits. Half-time employees are eligible for up to 6 visits; dependents are eligible for 3 visits. PT and PRN employees are eligible for 3 visits; dependents are eligible for 3 visits.
