Role Description
IT Delivery Associate Director – Wealth Management is a leadership role responsible for overseeing the strategy, execution, and successful delivery of large-scale technology programs for wealth management organizations. This position requires deep industry expertise, outstanding delivery governance capability, and the ability to lead complex initiatives across global teams, vendors, and customer stakeholders.
The director acts as the primary delivery partner to business and technology leaders, ensuring all solutions meet regulatory obligations, enterprise standards, and client expectations.
KEY Responsibilities
- Lead end‑to‑end delivery of large multi‑year programs across wealth advisory, financial planning, portfolio management, trading, onboarding, CRM, and client‑facing platforms.
- Establish delivery frameworks, governance models, integrated plans, risk/issue management, and release strategies.
- Drive execution across Agile, SAFe, models ensuring delivery predictability, quality, and velocity.
- Ensure alignment between engineering, architecture, QA, DevOps, cloud, data, security, and product teams.
- Serve as the executive delivery partner for Executive leaders of the client.
- Translate strategic customer roadmaps into actionable delivery milestones.
- Experience in working with WM/Investment banking/Capital markets domain.
- Technical expertise in .Net Core with cloud knowledge(preferably AWS) and experience in Migration projects.
- Oversee audit readiness, traceability, documentation, and risk controls.
- Own P&L for delivery portfolio, ensuring margins, revenue predictability, and utilization targets are met.
- Manage contracts, SOWs, timelines, budgets, resource planning, vendor management, and change requests.
- Drive continuous optimization through resource alignment, automation, and process improvement.
- Lead distributed teams across onsite/offshore/nearshore locations.
- Mentor senior project/program managers, architects, and team leads.
- Build talent pipelines aligned with emerging wealth technologies, cloud, and data skills.
- Promote a culture of accountability, collaboration, and innovation.
Technical Skills
- 15+ years of IT delivery leadership with a minimum of 7+ years in Wealth/Investment Management.( Engineering background with Masters degree is preferred)
- Proven track record leading technology programs for wealth management institutions, fintechs, or custodians.
- Strong exposure to cloud platforms (AWS preferred).
- Expertise in modern architectures: APIs, microservices, event-driven solutions.
- Hands-on experience with Agile/SAFe, DevSecOps, and modern engineering practices.
- Exceptional executive presence, communication, and stakeholder influencing skills.
- Ability to translate complex technical concepts into business language.
- Strong risk management, decision-making, and problem‑solving capability.
