Responsibilities
Roles & Responsibilities:
•Portfolio Ownership & Strategy
o Own the Business License portfolio—set goals, Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), and governance; ensure client satisfaction across engagements.
o Conduct final/Client-level reviews of complex engagements, guide issue resolution and risk posture.
o Assist the go-to-market, M&A, and local office teams to identify targets and scope for business license and registration services
•Financial & Resource Management
o Prepare annual client budgets and staff budgets; manage utilization, productivity, and cost optimization.
o Oversee Budget vs Actuals; drive corrective actions and ROI on improvements.
o Analyze and manage the engagement financial data, including client billing
•Stakeholder & Relationship Management
o Build and maintain US stakeholder relationships; lead cadences and escalations; negotiate delivery improvements.
o Monitor transitions of new clients; define work plans and success criteria.
•People Leadership
o Lead performance management, succession planning, hiring/onboarding,
and building capability.
o Create an environment of open feedback and coaching, support career
progressions.
•Risk, Compliance & Audits
o Ensure firm-wide compliance standards; lead audits and remediate systemic
issues; uphold information security.
•Transformation & Growth
o Sponsor automation/analytics initiatives (Alteryx, Macros, AI); deliver measurable productivity and quality gains.
o Expand BL services - pull more work to KGS by building Stakeholder / client trust.

Qualifications
Mandatory technical & functional skills
oHighly proficient in MS Office; strong analytical and advisory skills.
oDeep technical proficiency in US Direct/Indirect Tax compliance; multi-jurisdiction rule expertise.
oExpertise in Indirect Tax applications and Alteryx to manage complex engagements.
oFinancial planning, budgeting, and portfolio management skills.
oStrong analytical and advisory skills.
oSecond level / Final review of most complex engagement tasks related to US business license and tax registration
oOversee the preparation and delivery of business license and tax registration services

▪Educational qualifications
oMaster’s degree in Accounts/Finance preferred
oGood to have professional certification eg. CPA, CA, CMA

oStrong skills in indirect tax information systems, including strong project management skills, go to market and the ability to analyze client business needs
oProficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Visio or process mapping software and strong technical awareness and basic knowledge of global indirect tax issues

oTotal: 10–12 years
oRelevant: 8-10 years in Business Licensing (multi-team/process portfolio
leadership).
