Job Description

Summary

Your role in our mission

Essential Job Functions
Manages product development teams in the design and delivery of highly complex product based business solutions from concept to implementation. Manages the creation of technical models which serve as blueprints for project engagements of various complexities.
Manages the design and development of product solutions, models and processes to ensure decisions and strategy are based on internal and external best practices, including competitor evaluation and planned differentiation. Ensures client/business needs are met.
Manages relationships with current and potential clients, internal resources and vendors to provide expertise and vision to strategy, solution and implementation of products and product lines.
Manages and maintains revenue forecast or savings opportunities associated with product development initiatives. Identifies fluctuations to financial targets and adjusts strategies to realize financial commitments. Implements changes or adjusts to strategies in other products or lines based upon findings.
Maintains industry expertise on product systems, processes, and network architectures. Provides oversight in the research of current and new technologies to initiate/develop and/or to revise improve existing products.
Develops and manages relationships with senior leadership, customers, and development groups. Influences client expectations and ensures client satisfaction.
Selects and hires employees. Trains and evaluates employees to enhance their performance, development, and work product. Addresses performance issues and makes recommendations for personnel actions Motivates and rewards employees including providing salary increases, bonuses and promotions within allocated budgets and company guidelines.
Prepares, recommends and oversees development of operating and personnel budgets. Monitors spending for adherence to budget plans, develops and recommends variances. Performs and/or oversees budget analysis.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
Master's degree in computer science, information systems, or related field preferred
Twelve or more years of experience with technical product design, configuration, integration, and/or delivering products to market
Eight or more years of leadership or supervisory experience
Experience with product development life cycles
Experience working with client enterprise products, services, and strategies, technical products, vendors, families of technologies and product configurations
Experience working with product and platform configurations
Experience working with technology architecture, mainframes, scheduling software and other related technologies
Experience working with financial operations concepts, practices and procedures
Experience working with development tools, processes, approaches and/or techniques
Other Qualifications
Strong skills in developing, deploying and supporting product and/or integrated suite of products
Strong communication skills to communicate with customers of varying levels, support personnel, vendors and work teams
Strong analytical, problem solving and decision making skills
Strong organization skills to balance and prioritize work
Good presentation skills to present ideas and solutions to individuals or groups
Good personal computer and business solutions software skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Ability to adapt to changing environments and/or situations, handle multiple tasks simultaneously, and to switch between tasks quickly
