Position Overview

You will excel as an Associate Sales Manager if you are able to provide the best service to our clients through exceptional communication, top-notch problem-solving skills, and be adaptable in a fast-paced environment. This is a hybrid position based in Appleton, WI.

Key Responsibilities

  • Responsible for developing and implementing sales plans for regional wholesale and retail accounts – Account maintenance, promotional planning, long and short-term strategies, innovation, etc.
  • Owns assortment planning at assigned accounts – Is familiar with the full assortment, sku prioritization, channel specifics and each customer’s results.
  • Owns sales call preparation and internal (Telmark) business planning for assigned account(s) includes creating a selling story deck and full analysis of data to provide direction to account(s)
  • Handle order management process/issues/ EDI/shipping/logistics matters for assigned accounts(s)
  • Manages trade funds and makes incremental spending requests (with projections/ROIs) – includes building an annual promotional plan with all funds accounted for and while adhering to budget
  • Creates annual forecasts, actualizes monthly and updates forecast with updates on a weekly/monthly basis.
  • Regularly conduct detailed consumption and/or shipment analysis of trends for your accounts – promotional analysis, innovation performance, best sellers, etc. Identify challenges in consumption and suggestions for improvement.
  • Cross functional collaboration with various departments as needed to meet account(s) goals and needs.

Required Experience and Education

  • High School diploma
  • 2+ years experience selling consumer packaged goods
  • Exceptional active listening, verbal and written communication skills
  • Working knowledge of Excel, Power Point, Outlook & Teams
  • Excellent time management, organization and communication skills.
  • Self-starter, self motivated and able to work under deadlines
  •  Experience in budgeting, forecasting and managing trade funds

Additional Requirements:

  • Schedule: Monday through Friday, with 8-hour shifts scheduled between 7:00 AM and 7:00 PM

  • Employment Type: Full-time

  • Work Environment: Primarily office-based with a collaborative, positive culture; remote option available for candidates located out of state (occasional travel may be required)

  • Communication Methods: Phone, email, Microsoft Teams, and other client interface platforms as needed
