Job Description

BASIC PURPOSE:

Under minimum supervision, but in line with established policies and procedures, this position should be able to perform a broad variety of operational duties. 


DUTIES OF POSITION: 

As a Deposit Ops Rep, you will be an essential member of the BankFirst Operations team. As such, you will provide support to frontline staff with a variety of deposit related needs, including, but not limited to:

  • Review new accounts for accuracy and completeness
  • Perform maintenance on existing accounts, including:
    • Address changes
    • Account information changes
    • Account messages
    • Customer information updates/changes
  • Review and process account and customer documentation
  • Provide support to internal personnel
  • Review and check stop payments, AFTs, and holds
  • Key and process daily CD/IRA transactions
  • Review various daily reports
  • Ensure compliance with policies and procedures
  • Performs multiple tasks, duties, and jobs within the department that permits to Deposit Operations


EDUCATION/ EXPERIENCE/ SKILLS:

  • Knowledge of personal computer programs such as word processing, spreadsheets, and other programs as required.
  • Ability to type accurately.
  • Ability to multi-task.
  • Highly organized, with an attention to detail and an aptitude for problem recognition and resolution.
  • Ability to adapt to technological changes and apply new knowledge to responsibilities.
  • Strong verbal and communication skills.
  • Ability to deal effectively and tactfully with customers and the personnel of other departments.
  • Ability to recognize irregular and suspicious transactions and take the appropriate steps to prevent loss.
  • Ability to make good judgements to make appropriate on the spot decisions following standard policies.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills to properly handle customer problems and determine when the request for confidential information should be furnished or refused.
  • Good knowledge of departmental operations, policies and procedures, and computer-generated reports.
