Duties & Responsibilities
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: - Coordinates and manages special projects as directed by the District Attorney to ensure the efficient operation of office.
- Responds and resolves inquiries from elected officials, department heads, other employees and the public.
- Prepares and monitors departmental annual budget adhering to the guidelines established by the County Attorney; authorizes purchases of equipment, furniture, and office supplies.
- Plans, organizes and assigns projects to others as required to fulfill the duties and obligations of the District Attorney.
- Participate in recruitment, interview process, supervising, and training and performance evaluations of staff.
- Drafts and types correspondence, letter and reports; drafts agreements for review and approval by District Attorney.
- Participates in activities and duties related to emergency management during a local state of disaster as directed by appropriate county managers.
- The position is responsible for case intake, discovery, legal research, and preparation and presentation of felony and/or misdemeanor cases at trial.
