Job Description



POSITION SUMMARY: Perform day to day shop tasks as directed.


PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:



  • Ensure regular preventative maintenance is performed on all equipment in shop

  • Assist with mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic repairs in manufacturing operations

  • Assist with equipment and site improvements

  • Build industrial control panels to specification

  • Work with all  departments to ensure each system is working at maximum output

  • Work with all departments on installation of new equipment and improvements on existing equipment

  • Maintain a safe work environment


 

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:


·         Degree in Electro-Mechanical or Industrial Automation or 3 to 5 years’ experience in a directly-related field


·         Interpret electrical schematics and wiring diagrams


·         Ability to lift up to 50lbs-70lbs


·         Ability to effectively use hand tools


·         Ability to sit or stand for long periods of time


·         Intermittent periods of bending, reaching, pulling, and stooping


·         Ability to analyze situations and equipment


·         Detail-orientated


·         Ability to multitask


·         Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and written


·         Ability to work additional hours as required


·         Willingness to move up within Midwest Manufacturing.

o    3 phase AC and DC electrical testing


o    Variable Frequency Drives and Motor Soft Starters
