The Chicago Marriott O’Hare is looking for a full-time Banquet Houseperson to join our

team!


Overview:

The Banquet Houseperson is responsible for the physical setup and breakdown of

banquet functions. They ensure that the event space is clean, organized, and prepared

according to the event.

 

Responsibilities:
  • Arrange tables, chairs, stages, dance floors, and other furniture as per event specifications.
  • Ensure banquet rooms, storage areas, and other assigned areas are clean, organized, and in good condition. Report any maintenance issues to the appropriate department.
  • Properly drape tables with linens, skirting, and other coverings. Ensure all linens are clean and free of wrinkles.
  • Safely transport and handle banquet furniture and other heavy items.
  • Assist with the needs of guests during events, including moving furniture or adjusting setups as required.
  • Clear the room after events, including removing linens, stacking chairs, and disassembling tables. Return all equipment and supplies to their designated storage areas.
  • Adhere to all safety and sanitation policies and procedures to ensure a safe working environment for staff and guests.
  • Work closely with other banquet staff to ensure all tasks are completed efficiently and on time.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications:
  • Ability to lift and move heavy objects ie, tables and chairs.
  • Job require frequent reaching, grabbing pulling, kneeling, crouching and standing.
Availability:
  • Must be available to work days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
