Position Summary
Star Lanes Polaris is seeking an energetic, customer-focused Bartender to provide exceptional beverage service in a fast-paced entertainment venue. The ideal candidate will create a welcoming atmosphere, prepare quality alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, maintain a clean and organized bar area, and deliver outstanding guest experiences while supporting the overall success of the venue.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to company recipes and responsible alcohol service guidelines.
- Provide friendly, professional, and attentive service to all guests.
- Verify guest identification and ensure compliance with all liquor laws and company policies.
- Process food and beverage orders accurately using the point-of-sale (POS) system.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar, including workstations, glassware, equipment, and storage areas.
- Monitor inventory levels and assist with stocking liquor, beer, wine, mixers, and supplies.
- Handle cash, credit card transactions, and guest checks accurately.
- Promote featured beverages, specials, and entertainment offerings to enhance guest satisfaction.
- Collaborate with servers, kitchen staff, and management to ensure efficient operations.
- Address guest concerns professionally and escalate issues when necessary.
- Follow all health, safety, sanitation, and company standards.
Qualifications
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Previous bartending experience preferred; entertainment or high-volume venue experience is a plus.
- Knowledge of classic cocktails, beer, wine, and beverage service techniques.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic math and cash-handling skills.
- Ability to obtain and maintain required alcohol service certifications.
- Flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Physical Requirements
- Frequently lift and carry up to 30 pounds.
- Ability to reach, bend, stoop, and perform repetitive motions.
- Work in a lively environment with moderate to high noise levels.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
