Job Description

NTN is one of the world’s premier bearing manufacturers serving the automotive and industrial markets for the past 100+ years.  NTN is currently seeking a Benefits Manager. 

Our corporate benefits team has an opportunity for an experienced Benefits Manager to support the administration of employee benefits for the 4,500 employees at our subsidiaries in the U.S.  Support the Benefits Team (Director, HRIS Manager, Benefit/Payroll Representative) and interact with other HR line managers.

 

Skills/Responsibility Requirements:

  • A minimum of 4 years of experience with ADP Workforce Now (including some reporting experience and a general understanding of payroll) or similar payroll/benefit HCM platforms.
  • Intermediate Excel knowledge (Pivot tables/VLOOKUP) and proficiency with Email (Outlook), Word and PowerPoint.
  • Experience interacting with various vendors and TPAs to implement actions and resolve 1st level benefit issues.

5-7 years of experience supporting administration of employee benefit programs:

  • 401(k) administration.
  • Leave of absence management-FMLA/ADA/STD (we use a TPA).
  • FSA (we use a TPA).
  • Medical (PPO)/Dental/Vision/COBRA administration, preferably in the BCBS IL system.
  • Familiarity with pensions records, administration, and data review preferred (not required).

Projects include:

  • Review and resolve open enrollment discrepancies with medical, dental, vision, FSA, ancillary insurance carriers and assist with other employee benefit resolution issues.
  • Assist with 401(k) census correction and identification and resolution of contribution errors; assist with preparation of the annual 401(k) audit.
  • Sort and file retirement plan documents and all benefit contracts/agreements. Scan current files to capture all contracts to provide to the legal department.
  • Work with benefits team and pension recordkeeper regarding plan data review, correction of discrepancies, and updating of records. Scan and record old pension files and coordinate offsite storage.
  • Review retiree life insurance beneficiary information and send out beneficiary election forms as required.
  • Assist with setting up and populating an internal systems communication site for non-confidential benefit information for all employees.
  • Review data discrepancies regarding the ACA 1095C filing.
