At Inszone, our Benefits Department is growing — and we’re looking for a Benefits Operations Coordinator who understands what it means to work on the agency side of employee benefits. This role is ideal for someone who can walk in the agent’s shoes, understands the day-to-day challenges faced by producers, account managers, and service teams, and is motivated to help create solutions that make everyone’s job easier.

What You’ll Do
- Support benefits transfers — coordinate documentation, track progress, and communicate status updates to stakeholders
- Serve as a designated point of contact for carriers, branch employees, and internal teams on transfers and operational requests
- Identify and escalate carrier issues, portal access problems, and BOR/BCA changes to leadership for resolution
- Prepare for and participate in intake meetings, ensuring information is complete and organized
- Support branch employees with questions about carrier processes and operational navigation
- Conduct audits, identify discrepancies, and communicate findings to Accounting and leadership
- Collaborate with our support team in the Philippines on assigned workflows and communication
- Assist with documenting and improving operational workflows and procedures as directed
- Participate in special projects and process improvement initiatives across the Benefits Department
What Success Looks Like
- Transfers and contracting tasks are completed accurately and on time; delays are communicated to leadership promptly
- Carrier inquiries and escalations are identified and routed efficiently for resolution
- Branch employees and internal teams receive timely, professional support
- Audits and accounting requests are completed with a high degree of accuracy
- Documentation and follow-up items are organized and proactively communicated
Qualifications
Required
- Minimum 2 years of experience working on the agency side of employee benefits insurance
- Working knowledge of employee benefits products, carrier processes, and agency operations
- Experience supporting producers, account managers, clients, or carrier relationships within an agency environment
- Understanding of agency operations and customer service expectations within a benefits practice
- Strong organizational, communication, and time-management skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Outlook, and Teams
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail
Preferred
- Familiarity with benefits transfer processes, BOR/BCA changes, or carrier contracting
- Experience supporting workflow documentation or process improvement efforts
- Strong phone presence and confidence communicating with carrier representatives
- Resourceful and patient when working through complex operational issues
