Beverage Cart Attendant

The Reserve Club at Woodside – Aiken, South Carolina

Position Summary

The Beverage Cart Attendant is responsible for providing exceptional food and beverage service to members and guests throughout the golf course. This position operates the beverage cart safely and professionally while offering beverages, snacks, and light food items, ensuring a high level of hospitality and member satisfaction. The Beverage Cart Attendant serves as an ambassador of The Reserve Club at Woodside by creating a welcoming, friendly, and service-focused experience.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Operate the beverage cart safely and efficiently throughout the golf course.
  • Provide prompt, courteous, and professional service to members and guests.
  • Sell alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, snacks, and other approved food items.
  • Verify age and monitor alcohol consumption in accordance with South Carolina alcohol service laws and club policies.
  • Accurately process cash, credit card, member charge, and other payment transactions.
  • Maintain proper inventory levels and restock the beverage cart before, during, and after shifts.
  • Keep the beverage cart clean, organized, and presentable at all times.
  • Maintain appropriate food and beverage temperatures and comply with food safety standards.
  • Record inventory usage and assist with inventory counts as requested.
  • Communicate member requests, concerns, or service issues to the Food & Beverage Manager or Golf Operations team.
  • Provide information regarding club events, promotions, and golf activities when appropriate.
  • Follow all club policies regarding member privacy and confidentiality.
  • Assist in clubhouse food and beverage operations as needed during slow periods or special events.
  • Support tournaments, member events, and special golf outings.
  • Attend departmental meetings and required training sessions.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Previous food and beverage, hospitality, customer service, or golf course experience preferred.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain required alcohol service certifications.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Basic math and cash-handling skills.
  • Friendly, outgoing personality with a commitment to excellent customer service.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license and maintain a satisfactory driving record.

Physical Requirements

  • Frequently stand, walk, bend, reach, and lift up to 25 pounds.
  • Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions, including heat, humidity, rain, and cold temperatures.
  • Ability to operate a golf cart for extended periods.
  • Ability to traverse uneven terrain across the golf course.

Schedule Requirements

  • Must be available to work mornings, evenings, weekends, holidays, and special events.
  • Flexible schedule based on golf activity, tournaments, and seasonal business needs.
