The Bilingual French Obituary & Legal Notices Representative plays a critical role in ensuring the accurate and respectful publication of obituaries and legal notices. We are seeking talented individuals with strong multitasking, proofreading, and organizational skills along with a high level of empathy. 

In this unique role, you will support funeral homes and private parties by placing obituary notices in both print and online formats. Additionally, you will support clients by placing legal notices and some classified advertising.  A strong focus on accuracy and professionalism in all communications is essential. You play an important role in establishing and sustaining our clients’ trust, which is vital to the success of the business.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Fluency in French and English
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and prioritization in a fast-paced environment.
  • Adhering to established guidelines, deadlines, and workflow processes.
  • Ability to multi-task effectively; meeting and exceeding productivity requirements.
  • Proficiency with standard office software; ability to quickly learn and navigate various client systems.

Responsibilities:

  • Responding promptly to incoming calls and emails.
  • Processing and proofreading content with a strong focus on accuracy.
  • Identifying and assessing customers' needs to achieve satisfaction.
  • Assisting with processing notices and advertising orders.
  • Building sustainable, trusting relationships with customer accounts.
  • Proactively and accurately completing work within established deadlines and processes.
  • Delivering an excellent customer experience; always in a courteous and friendly manner.

As a Specialist, you will be managing incoming calls and emails, handling and processing obituary and legal notices, formatting and proofreading content, assisting some customers with advertising orders, providing accurate product and deadline information, and responding to all customer inquiries or concerns with empathy, professionalism and efficiency.

Ideal candidates can easily prioritize and complete work accurately while consistently meeting deadlines. They demonstrate patience and empathy and communicate effectively with both their team members and our customers and clients.


Scheduling - Additional Information:

  • We are currently looking for availability within the hours of: Sunday - Friday between 9:00am-7:00pm.
