 Your Role at KIK

Join our team as a Blow Mold Operations Manager, where you'll be the driving force behind seamless operations. Your role involves optimizing workflow, managing personnel, overseeing machinery repairs, and ensuring the efficient use of facilities.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Orchestrates the blow mold operation, ensuring seamless workflow and optimizing the utilization of personnel, skills, machines, and facilities. Directs and expedites machine repairs while addressing any hindrances to production procedures 
  • Takes ownership of the maintenance, repair, installation, and enhancement of the blow mold equipment, along with downstream machinery and support systems at the facility 
  • Manages both emergency repairs and scheduled maintenance tasks within the Blow Mold Department, executing preventive maintenance (PM) and corrective tasks as assigned 
  • Leads the installation, troubleshooting, and repair of low and high voltage [single/3 phase] industrial electrical and control systems for Blow Mold Equipment 
  • Oversees all facets of personnel performance, including staffing, training, and discipline within the department
  • Utilizes troubleshooting skills to address equipment issues and provides technical expertise for necessary repairs 
  • Diligently reports any molds and machines requiring maintenance, contributing to the proactive upkeep of equipment 
  • Spearheads recommendations for capital improvements within the plant, aiming for enhanced safety conditions, improved product quality, increased efficiency, and reduced operational costs 
  • Develops or refines standard operational and working practices, ensuring strict compliance with established standards
  • Resolves operational, manufacturing, and delivery

 

What You’ll Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree required; Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Manufacturing Engineering degree preferred8 or more years of manufacturing experience in plastics processing, packaging, or consumer products manufacturing
  • 5 or more years of hands-on plastic blow molding experience, preferably in high-volume HDPE bottle manufacturing for household chemicals, bleach, or similar products
  • 5 or more years of progressive leadership experience supervising production, maintenance, technical, or operations teams in a manufacturing environment
  • Strong technical and mechanical aptitude with demonstrated expertise in blow molding equipment, molds, auxiliary systems, and process optimization
  • Proven ability to quickly identify, troubleshoot, and resolve production, quality, and equipment issues while maintaining a safe and efficient operation
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to drive accountability, develop employees, and effectively manage plant priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including intermediate-level Excel skills (data analysis, formulas, sorting, filtering, reporting, and pivot tables) and Microsoft Word
  • Working knowledge and practical application of Lean Manufacturing, 5S, Root Cause Analysis, Continuous Improvement, and Operational Excellence methodologies 
  • Strong understanding of safety, quality, and regulatory requirements associated with manufacturing and packaging household chemical products 
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with production personnel, maintenance teams, leadership, suppliers, and customers
  • Highly organized with strong planning, prioritization, and project management skills; capable of managing multiple initiatives simultaneously while meeting production and business objectives
